Seeking out Suffering

by Daniel Guy It’s Friday evening and a smart black Mercedes pulls out from the car park at the Houses of Parliament, in London. Inside is Robert Black, a junior minister in the immigration department. He’s 48 and despite being married with kids, he’s kept himself lean, and good-looking. Robert has been feeling horny all week. He was expected to drive home to the family in Kent tonight but he’s called his wife to say he has to work late and will stay in the city tonight. He drives to his flat in Chelsea, stopping by a hardware shop along the way. Back at the flat he lays out rope, and tape and bamboo sticks on the coffee table. He pours a large whiskey, soaks in a bath for an hour and thinks about how best to get what he wants.
