The Strange New Vaccine

You take one small pink pill and you are safe for the rest of your life, so everyone starts lining up to get their pill. Karen is in her thirties, living and working in the city. She’s slim and pretty, with dark short hair and big brown eyes. But like everyone else, she’s struggled both financially and psychologically throughout the pandemic, so she doesn’t think twice about going along to the clinic and get herself vaccinated. The nurse at the lab hands her the pill, and a glass of water. ‘There are no side effects, except that you’ll probably feel a little weak for the rest of the day. Don’t worry, just take it easy.
